  • The 74700 valve is a sanitary stainless steel overflow valve, its design makes it adequate for protection of installations in the pharmaceutical industry. It is used to perform pressure bypass for safety purposes in order to protect lines, pumps, fittings, tanks, etc.
  • It is widely used in the loops of purified water (PW) or water for injections (WFI).The valve is normally installed at the end of the line to maintain pressure at the end of the loop. As a result, the points of use in this area are provided with pressure. These valves are also used to prevent pump cavitation by creating a counterpressure during acceleration when the end-of-line flow rate is not sufficient.

Operating principle:

Operating principle :
The C-TOP+ control unit incorporates indication and command devices to control pneumatically operated process valves.

Position sensors with feedback
The control units are fitted to the pneumatic actuator. It receives signals from a control panel or from a PLC to actuate the valves and sends signals to the PLC or to the control panel to communicate the status/position of the valve.
C-TOP+ unit contains three LEDs (depending on the configuration) constantly indicating the operating status of the valve. A fourth LED (white) indicates whether the operating voltage supply is connected.

Features :
  • The design of the C-TOP+ unit is simple, modular and resistant that guarantees the maximum flexibility. Depending on the product version it has up to three 3/2 solenoid valves (NC) and three sensors. If necessary, an additional external sensor and an additional external solenoid valve can be connected.
  • The sensors are actuated contact-free by a magnet attached to the control rod. The sensor can be magnetoresistive or magnetic reed type and it is activated without contact wiith a magnet in the shaft control.

The NDL (Non Dead Leg T Valve) diaphragm valves, manually or pneumatically operated, are specially designed for use on aseptic processes in the pharmaceutical industry. The valves are widely used at points of use in the loops of purified water (PW) or water for injections (WFI).

Operating principle :
The diaphragm provides the body seal as well as the seat seal. There are no paths to the outside environment and, as such, the valve is suitable for aseptic processes. When the valve is being closed, a pressure pad which supports the diaphragm moves towards the sealing face on the body. As the pressure plate moves, the diaphragm flexes and is forced down onto the seat area in the centre of the body, thus, closing off the flow path through the body.
The valve can be actuated either manually or pneumatically and controlled by control units and solenoid valves.
A standard diaphragm valve is used to shut the flow of a line, an NDL type valve shuts only one outlet of the main line.

Features :
Comparing with a traditional diaphragm valve, the dead leg of an NDL valve is reduced to a minimum due to the design of the valve, and the pharmaceutical normatives like ASME BPE prioritise this condition.
  • Broad flexible range based upon a modular design concept with key components being common with other valves.

The C-TOP+ control unit with AS-i (Actuator Sensor Interface) communication is designed or intended for the optimal automation of INOXPA process valves. This option is available for the entire range of valves supplied with C-TOP+ units (ball valve, butterfly valve, single and double seat multiway valve, etc.).

Operating principle :
The AS-i interface is a field bus system that allows connecting a network of actuators and sensors (detectors) to a higher level control device (master).
An AS-i network comprises the following elements:
A power supply, one or several master (or control) modules, bus cable (preformed cable), an IDC connector, an IDC connector to C-TOP+ connector connection cable, and the C-TOP+ prepared for AS-i (special card for AS-i with connector).
The AS-i field bus obtains the required voltage from a power supply. The sensors and solenoid valves connected to the field bus are controlled by the master module.
Every master sends the information to the PLC and is able to control up to 62 slave units (62 C-TOP+ AS-i units).
The interconnection is made with a preformed cable. The preformed cable is used both for the transmission of information and as a power supply for the solenoid valves and detectors. The C-TOP AS-i head must always be used in conjunction with magnetoresistive detectors.
The C-TOP+ AS-i also incorporates three signalling LEDs which continuously indicate the status of the valve, and one flashing red LED to alert in case of signal loss.

Features :
  • The C-TOP+ AS-i is characterised by its modular simple and robust design which guarantees maximum flexibility during installation. Due to its enormously reduced wiring requirements, it facilitates the installation and commissioning of the system. Moreover, it reduces the commissioning time and potential installation errors.
  • Depending on the version, the head can have up to three solenoid valves 3/2 (NC) and three sensors. If necessary, an additional external sensor can be connected. The sensors are magnetoresistive, with contactless activation by means of a magnet connected to the control shaft. The C-TOP+ AS-i heads are configured according to each customer''s requirements.

Application:
  • A check valve, or non return valve, is a valve that prevents the fluid from flowing backwards and ensures that it flows in only one direction. It can be used to prevent the loss of prime of the pump and water hammer.
  • It is used in the food-processing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and chemical industries as well as in the beverage, wine and oil production.

Operating principle:
  • The check valve opens when the pressure of the fluid exceeds the pressure exerted by the spring. When the two pressures are compensated, the valve closes. A higher counterpressure will ensure the valve closes.
  • When there are two pumps operating alternately, the check valves are installed at the outlet of each pump to prevent the backflow when the pump is stopped. The obturation disc is provided with a perforation for a minimal circulation flow to avoid water stagnancy.
